Assessment pattern

Year 7    

Pupils are assessed formally once during the year. The assessment forms the speaking and listening group work section of their English lessons. An end-of-year level is awarded.

 

 

Marking and Grading of Work

Year 7    

The class teacher assesses pupils’ work. Work is also peer assessed by the rest of the class giving positive points and highlighting possible improvement areas.

Key tasks are levelled using level descriptions.

 

 

Recommended wider activities

Year 7    

Attend theatre visits run by the school and also out of school hours

Join a local youth theatre or amateur dramatics group

Join the Young Farmers and get involved in their pantomime
