Year 9 |
The Welsh Department is currently implementing Assessment for Learning techniques through out Key Stage 3. (for more details see www.assessment-reform-group.org)
This means that neither marks nor grades are normally given on work. Instead pupils are asked questions and given input that focuses them on how they can move ahead. This usually is a maximum of three points per piece of work. This method has been researched thoroughly by top UK academics and, when implemented correctly, is proven to increase progress. |
