On the 23rd and 25th of November, the Art Department welcomed artists in to the school to run workshops with our students. The first was a clay workshop with local artist Blue Macaskill, where students decorated clay tiles as part of the Builth Wells Croeso Project. This is a regeneration project for the Croeso site, with local people and students creating pieces of art work to be installed on the site in the town centre. All of the students really enjoyed, and produced some great pieces.

The second workshop was with local artist Richard Taylor, and involved working with copper foil, again to make tiles for the Croeso site. For many, this was a new material to work with in this way, and the results
were excellent. We would like to thank both artists for their inspiring input, and to thank Celia Jefferies and the Croeso project for setting up the workshops.
