At Builth Wells High School, the focus is on ‘Music for All'! The department strives to cater for all levels of learners through the broad range of musical opportunities we provide for our pupils. We aim to expand students' knowledge of past and present cultures while learning to appreciate music in everyday life.

Through the subject, we instil in all music students core values that will help them achieve success and develop their individual talents; motivation, teamwork, social skills, self discipline, good practice habits and a lifelong appreciation for the Arts.

As a Department, we seek to be a vivid presence in the community, striving to promote all Music Department activities which celebrate the success of our students. The Department prides itself in its excellent track record of GCSE and A Level results.
