Careers Advice and Guidance A Careers Wales Adviser is available in school to help students plan for the future. The Careers Adviser can help students to:
Extra help is available for students who need additional support. As well as advising students in individual interviews the Careers Adviser gives class talks on career related topics. Careers Wales also works with the school to help students find out about the world of work through activities like work experience and industry days. Students are encouraged to visit www.careerswales.com for information about option choices, courses, job and training vacancies and to record their achievements. Students can make an individual appointment with the Careers Adviser; contact details can be found on the careers notice board in school. The careers adviser is in the school for 3 days a week. The Careers Adviser is also available at parents’ evenings. Students and parents can also speak to a Careers Adviser at one of the Careers Wales centres which are open all year, including school holidays, and offer a service to people of all ages.
